Welcome to Eye of the Tiger Tattoo! We’ve been slinging custom ink since 2013, nestled right in the heart of SF’s Sunset district. Forget the intimidating, sterile shop vibe—we’re all about a super friendly, relaxed atmosphere where you can actually enjoy the process. Ready to turn that amazing idea into a lifelong piece of art? You’re in the right place.
We were founded by SF native Salem, inspired by that iconic song we all know and love. Our philosophy is simple: we believe we all have that fighting tiger spirit! That commitment to keeping dreams alive is what fuels every piece of high-quality art we create. It’s a serious mission, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. If you found us, we think you were meant to be here!

As the heart and founder of Eye of the Tiger, Salem brings a bold, vibrant energy to every piece. She’s the master of color and creates visually bold tattoos that are deeply personal to the client. Dizzy specializes in making your wildest dreams a reality! Known for her fine line illustrative style, she creates pieces that are inherently whimsical. Come to Dizzy for all things anime and manga, or if you want something that expertly mixes spooky meets cutesy for a truly unique and charming tattoo.
Marco is known for his incredible versatility and attention to detail. He’s the shop specialist for crisp lettering and can execute everything from gorgeous realism portrait work (yes, even your beloved pet!) to classic traditional designs. Marco also brings a fun twist, incorporating Japanese influence and custom Disney themes into his expert black and gray and fine line tattoos.
We’re a crew of talented artists who roll deep like a tight-knit family. Our studio atmosphere is serious about the ink—but we also keep things fun and a little offbeat. Honestly, you’ll probably spend your session laughing along to our shop humor. Our goal is a truly one-of-a-kind tattoo experience where you leave with stunning new art and some new compelling ideas for life.

Well, I know that the 10th annual bolt day was meant to be the last bolt day hosted in SF. However, with the announcement of The Grateful Dead`s 60th anniversary shows in Golden Gate Park, how could we not?
So once again, come one come all to help us celebrate the 12th annual Bolt Day at The Eye of the Tiger Tattoo here in San Francisco! 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
There will be nine different heads from coast to coast tattooing for the day. We will have over 80 different bolt designs to choose from. Color or black and gray.
The sign up list will begin at 12:00 p.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. It will be first come, first served. If you`re planning on getting a Bolt to commemorate these historic shows and your trip to San Francisco, please get there early. We can`t wait!!
