You Have Questions, We Have Answers!HOW DO I CHOOSE MY TATTOO IMAGE?
We find it helpful to look on the internet, or visit a library to collect images. You can email us with your ideas, or just bring them in to the shop to speak with one of our artists. This helps us figure out how to approach your tattoo properly. We also encourage our clients to be a big part of the their process by sharing ideas and details that they may want to add or remove from their tattoo to make it more personal. Please note that our artists do not replicate other artist’s work. Feel free to use an image of a tattoo as your inspiration, but do know that our artists will want to put their own spin on the image.
HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
You can email us, or call the shop to set up an appointment with one of our artists. Tattoos that require a lot of design work will also require you to first set up a consultation. At the consultation you and your artist will have a brief meeting to talk in depth about design, placement, and price. After the consultation your artist will start the drawing process and an appointment for your tattoo session will be made. If you are from out of town, we can potentially set up a virtual consultation. Drawing is free, but we do require deposits for every appointment. This deposit is not an additional fee and will come off the final price of your tattoo. If your tattoo takes more than one session, then your deposit will float towards your last appointment. Deposits can cost anywhere from $80- $600 dollars depending on the tattoo.
DO YOU TAKE WALK INS?
We do take walk ins. We suggest that you call us at the shop before your thinking about coming in for your tattoo. This way in case we are busy, we can let you know a better time for you to come in that day.
HOW DO I GET A PRICE QUOTE?
We charge $250 an hour and have a $100 minimum. If your tattoo can be completed in one session, then we will price it by the size and details. You can also email us or stop by with your images and detailed ideas so we can better round down a proper price quote for you. We are a cash only business, and do not accept credit cards.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?
In God we trust, all others pay cash.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
It helps to be well rested and eat some food before you arrive. We recommend bringing a drink and some snacks, especially if you are sitting for a longer session. Chewing gum while getting tattooed also helps with your energy levels.
HOW BAD DOES IT HURT?
No tattoo is unbearably painful. There are places on the body that can seem more sensitive that other parts. It’s a good choice to get your tattoo where you want it, not where it might hurt less.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET TATTOOED?
The state of California requires any one getting a tattoo to be 18 years old. Even if you have a parent or guardian to to sign for you, it is against the law.
CAN I DRINK OR SMOKE WEED BEFORE GETTING TATTOOED?
Consuming alcohol makes your blood a lot thinner. If your blood is to thin, then it makes it hard to keep ink in your skin during your tattoo process. Smoking weed before getting tattooed may heighten your sensitivities, which might make your tattoo seem more painful. Some of our clients find smoking before getting tattooed helps them relax more. It is alright to drink and smoke after your tattoo has been completed.
